Local Reggae Kings The Dubplates to Celebrate New Album Release at Loggerheads on Folly Beach

Charleston’s first breakout reggae band, The Dubplates, recently released their new album Box Full of Steel. The album debuted at #4 on iTunes U.S. Top Reggae Albums this past week, and they will celebrate this successful release at Loggerheads on Folly Beach this Saturday, July 1st from 10pm to 2am. They’ll get started just in time for you to finish up the pregame and keep the party going until the bar closes. The Dubplates have a huge lineup of musicians, ranging between 9 and 12 pieces and have been playing together for over 8 years.

The success of Box Full of Steel comes much-deserved after years of providing tasty reggae jams to the lowcountry. During this time The Dubplates have worked with prominent musicians such as King Yellowman, Junior Reid, Mix Master Mike (The Beastie Boys), Future Fambo, Elephant Man, and Zumjay. Get on out to Loggerheads this Saturday at 10pm to celebrate with The Dubplates. Stream their new album Box Full of Steel below.
