If you haven’t heard of My Morning Jacket, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. Start with It Still Moves, and go from there. They just re-mastered the whole thing, and it sounds even better than it did before, so there is no better time than the present to pop your My Morning Jacket cherry. This is one of those bands that if they ever come to your city, you’re an idiot if you don’t go see them. That’s how good they are. Jim James is a genius, and their concert may have been the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.
Anyway, this video is them playing a cover of “All Night Long” by Lionel Richie. You’ve certainly heard this song before, and this cover is arguably better than the original. My Morning Jacket has a knack for playing covers that are better than the original. This song would go over great at a party, and better yet this is the soundboard recording. It’s a real treat.
