SAIL Amsterdam Is One Of The Coolest Things You've Ever Seen

SAIL Amsterdam 2015 Official Aftermovie

SAIL Amsterdam is a maritime event that happens only once every five years. Basically, thousands of boats gather and sail through Amsterdam's eastern harbor. Perhaps the most epic thing about it is that tall ships from all over the world sail down and dock and give tours to people who are interested. For those of you who don't know, a tall ship is basically like an old school pirate ship, except modernized.

Since SAIL Amsterdam just happened in 2015, so we have to wait until 2020 for the next one. Think about how awesome it would be to be on one of those boats for the whole festival, even if it was just a tiny little Sunfish or something. Sailing down the eastern harbor of Amsterdam beside dozens of tall ships sounds like the most fun I'd have all year.
