Blink-182 - Live At Big Day Out (Full Concert)

Blink-182 - Live At Big Day Out Sydney 2000

Blink-182 has got to be the only band that can get away with sounding this bad at a concert while still being awesome. This video is an absolute classic, shot at Big Day Out 2000 when the band was in their prime. The performance is so far from tight that it really captures the band's self-proclaimed "crappy punk rock".

Both Blink-182 and the crowd of what looks like thousands of people seem to be having the time of their lives, and I can only wish that I got to see this happen. I did have the chance to see Blink-182 once, but it was in August 2009, right after the band got back together and went on their summer tour. Their on-stage antics were still pretty hilarious then, but they were nowhere near as absurd as the ones at Big Day Out 2000.

When it comes to a Blink-182 live performance, you can pretty much expect a comedy show along with the musical performance. Their studio recordings are so well-produced that you might not expect it, but Tom can barely even play the guitar, and he'll be the first to admit it. That's one of the things that makes Blink so great, that they aren't claiming to be good. They just want to have a good time, and show you (and your mom) an even better time.

Lastly, I want to point out that when I say the band doesn't sound good, I'm not talking about Travis. He's gotta be one of the best drummers alive. Watch the video, and see for yourself.
